A lesson the Pentagon and the politicians learned well from Vietnam. Keep those nosy reporters and photographers away from their wars, keep the ugliness of war off the television, feed the American people bumper sticker slogans and bullshit, restrict the cost to a small percentage of the population, and they can start a war any time, any place, and for any (or no) reason and stay as long as they want.
