Bill O'Reilly, never missing a chance to play the poor, persecuted Christian card, said on his show that the media is only reporting that the Norway terrorist, Anders Behring Breivik, is a Christian because they don't like Christians and want to diminish social conservatives.
I'd like to show this segment to you.

As you can see, O'Reilly is outraged that anyone could link this type of terror attack to an entire religion. Obviously this was a man who could not be Christian; the Christian religion is peaceful and anyone who advocates violence must not be confused with one of them.
O'Reilly's stance on terror changes, however, when the subject becomes Muslim extremists. Please see the following segment:

Life must be great in the world of O'Reilly. You can take a hard stance on an entire religion for the actions of a few extremist sects when they're Muslim. But when it's another Christian extremist, then calling it such is attacking the religion and isn't fair.
Extremism is extremism, and should not reflect on the entire religion in any case; no matter what that is. Burying your head in the sand and acting like it doesn't happen will not solve the problem. You need to shine a light on it, and denounce it publicly, forcefully, and loudly. Just like Muslim leaders have done.
As the internet becomes more accessible worldwide and we place less of a priority on education, more people that lack critical thinking skills will continue to be led into these type of internet forums, and this problem will only get much, much worse. Terror and hate groups will continue to grow, attack, murder, and maim. Denying it is a serious problem only provides shelter for more growth in these sects. When you shine a light on the roaches, they scatter. Keeping them in the dark only helps them.

What is the difference between a "Christian" extremist/terrorist and a "Muslim" extremist/terrorist....
*tick/tock/tick/tock*
dum dum dum dum dum dum dum......
*sigh*
And the answer is (wait for it!)
NOTHING! An extremist is an extremist is an extremist.
"A rose by any other name...." comes to mind; but in this case it's: "a pile of horse dung by any other name would smell just as rotten."
I can understand the confusion about KK... :0)
We have the same dilemma with the female genitalia in that "having" and "getting some" are good things. But "being" one is fairly problematical. Speaking of the "P" word, of course.
Funny, we were just discussing thosae topics in my "English Second Language" class the other day. I had used the term "back out" of a deal and someone thought I was talking about Kim Kardashian. The the old idiom "giving some head" came up.......that took a good half hour.
That's not correct.
I said, "Having" a dick is a good thing.
"Being" a dick is a bad thing. A VERRY bad thing.
But, I can see how people might be confused about that. It's very complicated.
I'd like to suggest we move away from that and use the word "prick" instead of "dick" in that situation to avoid the problem many foreigners have with our terminology and syntax.
a big dick, and even though Carguy would think that's a good thing, i'm still going with it...
O-Really's a dick.
You are so spot on! Well said!
I agree...
This is probably my biggest hot-button issue right now. Reading all the hate that pors out of the mouths of these "Christians" just makes me sick. If that's what Christianity is, I think I'll take Anne Rice's example and give it up to follow Christ.
Excellent point, BTW. I have tried on numerous occasions to have an intelligent debate with these haters but its really hard to reason with someone that's just regurgitating some chit they read on someone's blog or some forum for idiots.
I've said it before and I will say it again: There are no Muslim terrorists. There are no Christian terrorists. There may be some evil people who claim to be part of one religion or the other but it just isn't so. If it walks, talks, and acts like a duck, its a duck even if it says its a goose.
so true, so sad...
