Ya coulda knocked me over with a feather. In a startling revelation, it turns out Pakistan's version of the CIA, the ISI, may have known of Osama bin Laden's whereabouts all along and was, hold on to your seats, protecting him. Hard to believe, I know.
"The cellphone of Osama bin Laden's trusted courier, which was recovered in the raid that killed both men in Pakistan last month, contained contacts to a militant group that is a longtime asset of Pakistan's intelligence agency, senior American officials who have been briefed on the findings say.
The discovery indicates that Bin Laden used the group, Harakat-ul-Mujahedeen, as part of his support network inside the country, the officials and others said. But it also raised tantalizing questions about whether the group and others like it helped shelter and support Bin Laden on behalf of Pakistan's spy agency, given that it had mentored Harakat and allowed it to operate in Pakistan for at least 20 years, the officials and analysts said.
[...]
But the cellphone numbers provide one of the most intriguing leads yet in the hunt for the answer to an urgent and vexing question for Washington: How was it that Bin Laden was able to live comfortably for years in Abbottabad, a town dominated by the Pakistani military and only a three-hour drive from Islamabad, the capital?"
This is a "vexing question?" For who? Next up, more vexing questions. Did OJ really do it? Does Lindsey Lohan have a substance abuse problem? Stay tuned.
Pakistanis Knew Where bin Laden Was? Say It Ain't So!

Hey elmo,
yeah, and you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant, except u know what.
And in other news today, it was discovered that water is wet.
:-)
That's good one!
Next you'll be trying to get us to believe that there is gambling going on in Rick's Cafe.
I WAS the one...I've moved into the 'undecided' group at this point.
YOU'RE the one. (Just kidding)
Hi Des,
This is gonna surprise you I know but I never believed O.J. did it.
The situation with Bin Laden makes the oft-repeated 'mockery of the entire scenario'.
You woulda thunk the "I Heart bin Laden" bumper stickers on ISI vehicles might have been a tipoff, huh?
I "heard" the local Val-Pak distributor had him on their mailing list under the name O.B. Laden and that his copies of National Geographic had been forwarded to that address in Abbottobad since 2005.
But the Pakistani ambassador to the United States said Sunday on MTP that the Pakis did NOT know he was in the country. They ARE our allies and why would we not believe him?
You don't know how hard that was to type with a straight face.
I also heard that an "analysis" of his porn collection indicated he liked women with big behinds. Who exactly performed the analysis? The CIA or the NSA?
