Finals Four

Okay, I promised a final four and here it is. Life has been harrowing lately and that is getting in the way of these fun polls. I had proposed a traditional matchup last time, but I think I'll forgo that and have everyone pick their order. Since we have so few voters, if everyone could rank them I will tally the votes accordingly.

Halle Berry just may be the most beautiful woman currently in her prime (or close to it). She will be the new age selection I am sure. Being the only one of the four with an Oscar probably doesn't hurt.

Ursella Andress got more votes than anyone else (or at least a higher volume). She is the old school favorite and I have no argument there. This comes down to a matter of taste and no one can be scolded for favoring this one.

Seems like there is a George Mason in every final four these days and Lana Wood is it. She is one of those that you saw on screen and said holy cow. However, that tended to wear off a bit. Helps that she was the last of the 1960ish Bonds (even though it was 1971).

She was smoking hot circa Lois and Clark, but that was a decade ago. I give her credit for staying power. Desperate Housewives has been very successful. She likely have staying power in a poll like this.

Yes there was. I posted pictures of all the Bonds and asked the ladies to choose.

This one was obviously for the guys, but I just about lost my keyboard at the discussion; need to put the coffee down first.

Lana Wood? Does anyone even remember who she is?

Teri Hatcher? Seriously?

Was there a contest for the ladies' choices here or did I miss that?

Which point were you lost on? The Lana Wood thing came purely because she finished in second in the Connery division vote. However, if you simply listed the Bond girls and asked everyone to vote she wouldn't have finished in the top five. Some divisions are stronger than others I'm afraid.

If you are confused about the Berry point, it is simply the idea that one cannot assign blame about broken relationships without all of the facts. Someone that has been in multiple relationships is not necessarily a bad person or difficult to get along with. Some just attract assholes like flies.

Ok, I am totally lost on your post (not unusual, just lost)...but this old woman says:

Halle Berry and Ursula Andress -TIE

Lana Wood and Teri Hatcher - out of the game...please, not contenders!

I'm glad you're the relationship expert here Scott, so I'll have to agree with you that being abused as a child might show up in adulthood. Whatever the cause is, I just get the impression that she has some psychological problems. Can you find any pictures (or videos even better) of THESE ladies jumping on trampolines? I know Des hates doing the research for that.

Like I said, think final four with Wood. In a pure ranking of Bond girls she would finish lower but was second in that particular poll. In terms of total votes Diana Rigg would have made the final four. If anyone wants to substitute her I'm good. Looks like Halle is in the lead.

Incidentally, multiple relationships is not necessarily a black mark on character. IIRC she was abused as a child. Abused children often subconsciously seek abusive partners. David Justice and Eric Benet treated her like shit. Now, did she behave well? Who knows, but I'm guessing not so much.

I don't think it was her topless in that movie...I think it was blue screened.

Ok, I'm sold...

1 Halle Berry
2 Ursula Undress
3. Lana Wood
4. Teri Hatcher looked better before she gave up cheeseburgers

I think Scott and I must have the same taste in women. (Marilyn Monroe) from a previous post, and I agree with him in the order of these women exactly, EXCEPT, that I'm convinced Halle Barry has got some mental issues going on from too many relationships/husbands. (If you got involved with her, it would only mess you up, that is..if you decided to give a shit about her, and the relationship). I had a similar issue with somebody in her class of beauty, if I do say so myself, so....check character boys...always check character!!

I actually have Ursella Andress as tying with Halle, but I'm putting her in first, because she probably isn't (or wasn't) as messed up as Halle. But I'd still put those two way ahead of the other two.

Scott, if in some distant future, we both become single again, let's go find some chicks. What do you say?

Point taken.

Two more words. Body Heat.

You gotta admit, when Kathleen Turner played Chandler's "father" on "Friends", she was very believable. Just sayin'.

That's a little cruel. I'm just not the biggest Halle Berry fan in the world. The other three we agree on "in principle".

Lana Wood. Two words. Woof Woof.

Actually, in this poll, there are NO wrong answers.

Re: Wood - She has (most of) her sister's good looks but gives the impression she could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch. You gotta admit that.

Dialing TSO.

I',m amazed that Lana Wood made the finals. Not that I disagree, just surpised.

1. Ursulla
2. Terry
3. Lana
4. Halle

I did flip-flop Halle and Lana. But this is my final and I thknk the photos justify that.

I may fall into the "old school" category, although I prefer the term retro, but Halle Berry is my Numero Uno. I'm sure carguy will find some fault (hair too short? eyes too close together? If he says flat-chested I'm going to book an appointment for him at TSO). Andress is second, Hatcher third. How did Lana Wood even get here? She's like the SAT question, which one of these doesn't fit. Like a Hall of Fame ballot that includes a current Astro. Very much out of place, IMO.

As always, I'll place my vote first. Remember to rank them so I can break ties. For me the first two are very easy.

1. Halle Berry
2. Ursella Andress

That is pure taste. Call me a new age guy I guess, but Berry is just damn hot. Andress is as well of course, but her beauty is more classic. She is very strong number two in my book.

3. Lana Wood
4. Teri Hatcher

I go Wood number three simply because of the wow factor on film. Hatcher has a better career going and is more beautiful overall, but this is a Bond girl competition and Wood was just more memorable.
