May 31, 1930. Clinton Eastwood Jr. was born in San Francisco. Here are my top three of his many classic movie lines. Number three, from Gran Torino, "Get off my lawn," (Click on the link. For some reason You Tube doesn't allow this clip to be shared). Number two, from Dirty Harry, "Well do ya, punk?":
Number one, from Outlaw Josey Wales, "Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy":
Happy 81st, Mr. Eastwood. May you have many more.

Can anyone forget the "spaghetti westerns"?
But I have to admit, my fave (ok ok, I'm a woman, remember!) is Play Misty For Me.
And second fave...Bridges of Madison County.
What can I say...I'm a hopeless romantic!
(And yes, I enjoyed Dirty Harry and Gran Torino also!)
My favorite Eastwood movie is Kelly's Heroes. Eastwood, Sutherland, Savalas, Rickles, and Carrol O'conner round off an all star cast. Not to mention Angel from the Rockford Files.
Just kidding. I don't know how to download ring tones and find them very aggravating. Or, in the case of Newt Ginbgrich, very embarassing.
for real?
Dude: That' my ring tone.
Hey Carguy,
A real 'Dirty Harry' fan would have made at least a passing reference to 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly'...Can you hear the music?
It was worth saying twice.

That scene in "Outlaw" is one of my two favorites in all of the movies. Not including Sound of Music, of course. The other is the Robert Shaw monologue in "Jaws" about the sinking of the Indianapolis.
They don't make movies like that anymore.
"Endeavor to persevere."
No doubt, Dirty Harry was the film that made Clint Eastwood a star.
Many people don't know that the movie "Dirty Harry" was originally intended as a project for Frank Sinatra. Sinatra had injured his hand and had to turn the role down. It was then offered to John Wayne who responded, " I don't take Sinatra's hand-me-downs." The rest is history.
Early in their careers, Eastwood and Burt Reynolds were both called into the office of the studio head to discuss their careers. The executive said he was unable to keep them on payroll. He said, "Reynolds, you can't act. Eastwood, you've got too big of an 'adam's apple'."
Walking to parking lot Burt looked at Clint and said, "I can LEARN to act. I don't know WHAT you're gonna do about that 'adam's apple'."

Dirty Harry is most definitely a classic flick...
