Whose press secretary now says this:
I can't tell who that mealy-mouthed remark is intended to support, Governor Walker or the public employees. "Tighten their belts and live within their means just as we in Washington, the executive branch and Congress, need to do with our federal situation."
Gimme a freakin' break. After they give away a few more hundreds of billions in tax cuts to millionaires, then the belt tightening begins. As usual, by those whose belts are already just about as tight as they can get. To whom much is given, little, if anything, is required. The rest of you suckers need to live within your means and tighten your belts.

The reason why Democrats and Republicans are looking more alike is because they both owe to the same elites/corporations.
Are the politicians the ones who are really in charge, or is it the elites/corporations that financially helped these party's get into office?
Who really has the power. Nothing is free, politicians have to pay back in some way with all this financial help and perks they receive.
They know, if they please their funding elite/corporations friends, there is a good chance that they will be in the running again.
Politicians are hand picked, chosen for us to vote on. After they are chosen, then they all try to sway us by saying things they don't follow through on.
It is a game of, who can give the public a better illusion.
The elites/corporations can't lose, no matter who is in office.
Q: What's the real reason the Democrats pursue right-wing policies?
A: Because they are right-wing too.
Q: What are the lies they tell themselves for pursuing right-wing policies?
A: That this is a better path for re-election.
Q: How do they know that by pursuing right-wing policies they have a better chance of getting democrats elected than if they pursued left-wing policies?
A: They don't. They end of disenfranchising people, and that's why 50% of people don't vote.
Yeah Wind, or be forced to have psychological fitness tests and lie detector tests, with this question: Would you literally let millions and millions die for the sake of political gain?
I would guess that 90% of Republicans, and 50% of Democrats would fail that test. If the public would show just a LITTLE courage we would overturn this apple cart.

I think "all of our officials" from the President on down should randomly have drug testing's just like most of the working people have to do.
The Unions are the only ones who I see watching out for the workers.
Some of the Union Benefits have trickled down, to the jobs were there are no Unions.
The elites want to bust the Unions..They want more power than they already have, so they can take away more benefits.
The only ones who can tighten their belts are the ones making $200,000 or more a year.
There are to many just making it or not making it at all. There isn't any more room for the average person to tighten their belts.
Do they have blinders on and not see what people are going through. Do they think just because they and their friends are doing just fine, that everyone else is also ok?
We have seen in other Countries what happens when the majority is unhappy, I don't want this here.
We need jobs here in the USA. Any one that is head of a Company that is outside of the US should have to live were their Company is.
If they want their Company else where than the US, then go live there.

When people are back to work maybe then, there will be room to tighten that belt.

And then I was reading last night that the democrats look like they are mostly adopting the republicans budget cuts....in the soon to be reached "compromise". There are some cruel cruel things in those cuts. Including halving federal assistance to home owners who cannot afford to pay their heating bills. Any of you Texans want to know what that's like, come up to Minnesota. You're pipes would freeze in a matter of days, costing you thousands of dollars, and of course..you would die if a relative wouldn't take you in.
These austerity measures is exactly what America doesn't need now. We have a fragile recovery, and this is an anti-stimulus measure. So Obama is promoting stimulus and anti-stimulus measures at the same time. Has anyone checked him for schizophrenia? All while tacitly SUPPORTING union busting as you point out DES. I think GWB got a third term, albeit a wimpier version of him.
