Normally I'm too much of a cheapskate careful manager of my personal finances to pay for premium channels like HBO. But since U-verse is giving me 3 months free, I was able to catch a program over the weekend that I would highly recommend. It's entitled "Thurgood" and stars Laurence Fishburne in a one-man performance as former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Here's the HBO trailer:
Here's an interview with Laurence Fishburne about his role as Justice Marshall, George Stevens, Thurgood's playwright, and some clips and audio of Justice Marshall himself:

Wow......that's interesting.
Late night "Cinemax".....that brings back many fond and memories and testosterone rushes.
Don’t forget Skinemax, I mean Cinemax, got 3 free months of that too. God bless U-verse.
Marshall was named after his grandfather, Thouroughgood Marshall. He got tired of writing all that and shortened it to Thurgood.
For years, when I was making decent money, I enjoyed the HBO and Showtime lineup. Lots of naked boobies and fine shows like "Thurgood". IN fact, NOW, it seems that MOST of the good and very good mini-series and TV movies are on HBO or Showtime. I miss seeing them. They rarely come to network.
I miss those fine shows. I miss the boobies too.

don't forget to call u-verse and set a cancel date for the HBO channels or they will rack u up...Caveat Emptor!
