From Huffington Post:
...the Lone Star State Republican and chairman of the Republican Governors Association inaccurately called Juarez, Mexico "the most dangerous city in America" when speaking with reporters on Monday. The gaffe reportedly came in a criticism Perry made against the Obama administration for its handling of issues related to border security.
He's also reportedly blocking reporters from his twitter page (as if they couldn't just follow him from a different account?) and is still refusing to use the rainy day fund and pare down his "Enterprise Fund" used to give millions to rich dudes who promise to set up jobs in Texas.
Yes, elections have consequences. Texans have no one to blame but themselves. Really. Perry has repeatedly shown that he is being completely useless, weak on all the issues he purports to be strong on, and yet he still gets elected by claiming to be the opposite.
I guess the state 49th in education doesn't know any better. No wonder he wants to slash education so much. It'll keep him and other GOP members in office for generations.

I thought we were up to 47 ??????
aH: I agree 100%. Aside from the fact that so many Amerian are just plain stupid, they also have VERY SHORT memories. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if we are not in a full-fledged economic recovery by summer 2012, the people of this great land (and, you know what they say, it's hard to soar with eagles when you work with a bunch of turkeys) will vote to put whatver dastardly, despicable republican gets the nod in 2012 in the White House. The ONLY people who can stop them is the DNC. And they are a bunch of numbnuts.
I was listening to Chris Matthews yesterday and he was stating that he felt as a presidential candidate Obama is more vulnerable than the most pundits think. He cited the economy as chief among his threats against re-election. It kind of cracked me up to hear him 'logically' delineate Obama's weaknesses. If you compare his foibles against those 'swept' into office by public sentiment it becomes obvious that 'logical' political downsides are wholly irrelevant to the American politic.
As is evident in the re-election of Texan representatives the only thing that matters is race, ethnicity, and religious loyalty.
