Bob on Canada’s BNN Network, August 6, 2010

I was on BNN last night talking about the latest attempt by BP to kill their blowout well.  BNN won’t allow embedding, so here’s the link.

I enjoy listening to Bob Cavner, he is very informative. He is one of the few that I feel who has told what he knows, what he thinks, he explains things in a way we can understand, and to me it looks like he has been honest with the public.
I agree with him, I hope BP is not allowed to drill again here. I think he is right that this well is not totally killed yet. I believe he is correct in that there are problems with the chemicals that were used. I agree with him that there is still oil, I don’t believe it has magically disappeared. I would not eat anything from the gulf either. Heck, I wouldn’t even go swimming there, or even breath that air.
Not only am I concerned over the chemicals and oil in the gulf, I am also concerned over the gases and the sea floor.

Bob, while you are angry at the industry and BP isn’t the US Government another place to assign some anger? There never was any adult supervision of BP. The bumbling Thad Allen could not develop a coherent strategy to mange BP who appeared to do pretty much what they wanted to do. They even closed OUR beaches and posted THEIR security guards to enforce the closure. They blocked access to cleaning stations for wildlife and many other lies, evasions and missteps. Allen was unable to manage these events and as Billy Nungasser said “he doesn’t have a clue”.
