Funny or Die came out with a new video this week for Main Street Brigade supporting the proposed Consumer Finance Protection Agency that old Washington pillars on both sides of the aisle don't want. The CFPA would regulate credit card and mortgage companies in an effort to curb abuses by big banks and finance companies. All of the crew from Saturday Night Live volunteered to help get the word out. Have a look (it's the Presidential Reunion vid):
While very funny, the message is serious. Lobbyists are spending millions to kill this new agency. We all know why. Consumer debt is one of the most profitable products of the finance business, and a watchdog will cut into their business.
You know what to do.

Never fear - From some dark corner in the depths of the Capitol, the RNC is toiling away at the latest revisions of history, so all of this will be forgotten shortly and the extortion of the American People will begin anew with fresh enthusiasm.
I am not really sure we need another government agency for ANYTHING unless it is to guarantee us FREE access to porn on the internet.
IF we could just get the existing agencies to do their job I think we would be fine. we all know that Reagan caused much of this and then Bush43 exacerbated it when he disconnected the phones at the SEC.
