Photoshopping Out Racism

You remember the photograph of Dale Robertson, self-proclaimed founder of the Tea Party, and the sign he showed up with at the Houston Teabagger fest last year in Houston that Kelly wrote about it last week.  To remind you, here's the actual photo:

racistteabagger.jpgOf course, we naturally believe the rhetoric of the Tea Party Society, or whatever they call themselves, that they are a "non-partisan" group of concerned taxpayers, wanting to "take their country back" from some unknown foreign power and protesting tax increases that haven't happened.  We all also know that their rage has nothing to do with having a Democrat who happens to be African American in the White House.  Yes.  Non-partisan, nothing to do with race.

Any thinking person recognizes that teabaggers are 99.999% white, angry, with 0% supporting any political candidate left of Hitler.  Roberston, who prides himself as the courageous founder of the Tea Party, who also happened to trademark virtually every variant of the Tea Party name, decided that the uncomplemtary photo of him holding the "Niggar" (SIC) sign didn't comport to his own promoted image as patriot freedom fighter (and good speller), so he doctored the image on his homepage to give a little better impression:

188_DaleRobertsonWk4U.jpgNothing like a little photoshopping to rewrite history.  Robertson is apparently trying to change his image from race baiter and bad speller to selfess servant.  God knows why he chose to re-open this issue by doctoring the photo, but we took a screen grab of the website to document the photo change.  Other teabaggers confirmed the original photo, belatedly claiming that they had ejected Robertson from the February rally.  After the photo received broad attention, the Tea Pary has been working to distance itself from this guy.

Robertson's doctoring of the photo just makes the teabaggers look not just racist, but dishonest, also.

We would expect nothing less from these "concerned citizens".

Platform? What platform? You mean this platform? http://jdlong.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/obama-socialism-joker.jpg

No one takes you seriously because you don't have serious positions. You foment outrage about non-existent issues. You protests rising taxes that haven't risen. You protest Beck's "concentration camps" that don't exist. You protest "socialist government" that is no different than it was under GWB. For you and other Tea Partiers, it's actually all about race, hate, bigotry, and dislike of the results of the last election.

Period.

Everyone's trying to paint the tea party as racist... because it's ALL THEY'VE GOT. There is no other intelligent defense against their platform, so slander is all the creativity that the left can muster. Inaccurate, ignorant, incorrect. Those casting stones have never once been unless they were there for a photo-op with a racist sign of their own to send to the democratic underground. Tea Partiers eject anyone with racial signs because they know they're not part of the movement.

Well, kudos to Mr. Robertson for spelling "work" correctly, you know how those teabaggers have trouble with words that consist of more than three letters, but shouldn't the sign read "U work 4 me"? As in "I sent you to Washington with my vote, so you work for me". Oh well, I guess asking for correct spelling AND correct usage is just expecting too much from these "patriots".

This not worth comment.

He and Sparkle are in a competition to see who can employ the fewest brain cells. Close call.

Teabaggers are nothing but angry, white ignorant trailer trash. They'll manage to get some candidates elected next time around, candidates who rival Sarah Palin in their lack of comprehension of public policy issues. They might even depose some Republicans who haven't yet sunk to their level of stupidity. Hard to imagine, but Texas Republicans seem to be one of their favorite targets. Who knew there were people to the right of the Texas GOP?

And I read just now that up in Detroit, the teabagger protest at the Detroit Auto Show was boycotted by teabaggers. TWO, count'em two, people showed up to complain about big government bailing out big corporations. Seems some of those teabaggers are also unemployed auto workers who actually want big government to help them.

He could at least have made it look real. Like..not something out of 'paint' from 1996. Just sayin'
