Vice President Joe Biden's Mom, Jean Biden, died on yesterday at age 92. Then Senator Biden paid a touching tribute to her at the Democratic Convention last August in Denver. Posted without further comment:

She was born in WWI, lived through the roaring twenties, the Great Depression and WWII. My wifes grandmother is 90 and every minute I spend talking to her about the "old days" is a well spent. They just don't make them like that anymore. RIP Mrs. Biden.
My sympathies with the Biden family..along with the comfort of knowing they had her for 92 years. We should all be so lucky!

Say what you will about Joe Biden, he is one guy who seems to appreciate his family and value the way he was raised. You don't hear too many Republicans talking about their family, or as proud of their blue collar ethnic background - and the solid Democratic values imparted - as you do Joe Biden.
