Speaking of Republican amnesia, how about our very own Kay Clueless Bailey Hutchison? When asked by David Shuster about where Republicans, who are complaining about President Obama taking too long to act on sending additional troops to Afghanistan, were when George W. Bush didn't act at all on a request for more forces by General McKiernan last summer, Hutchison's response was Palinesque. In other words, unrelated, non-responsive, gibberish. From Crooks and Liars:
Would it be possible for Bill White to run for governor AND senator?

I am VERRRRY concerned that her statewide recognition may defeat Bill White before he even gets his feet on the ground.
arte: You have expressed my sentiments exactly.
For years I have just ignored KBH. I didn't think she HELPED the state or the country but I felt the damage she did was primarily superficial.
But the more I am FORCED to see her and listen to her, the more I really dislike her. Not that she has moved into the top 3-4 of my list of republicans I like to "put a banana in their tailpipe". But as our governor, I feel she could be a real "Gilligan" keeping us "on the island" for three TV seasons despite the best efforts of the professor and Mary Ann.
She lost credibility when she started out "I think..."
We all know better.
She knows who turns out for GOP primaries in Texas - idiots like Sparkle. Kay Bailey is widely regarded as one of the emptiest suits in the senate. Staffers have complained for years about being expected to be at her door precisely at 8 am with precisely the right pastry and coffee in hand. But we elected her - nobody to blame for KBH but us. Hopefully she will keep her word (yeah, right) and retire from the senate when she loses the GOP primary next year.
You nailed it!
Some might say "short memory". I just say they hate all things Obama. When the good news about the employment statistics came out last week, Boehner and others couldn't wait to go before the cameras and poo, poo the idea that things are getting better.
Just a comment on her new adds on TV - remember she "voted against Obama's stimulus" She is a big Jerk - what she really voted for was against thousands of Texans receiving much needed unemployment benefits and many more not receving food stamps. Sorry Kay, but you are heartless. Go with Perry and jump off a cliff.
