This year, it was a great Christmas for both my family and me. My grandson, at 16 months, hasn't figured it all out yet, but really loved the wrapping paper his gifts came in. I scored big time with tickets to Opening Day of the Red Sox in Boston in April, and some other really good stuff. It was also a Beatles kind of Christmas, since I got the new box set of the entire works of the Beatles, and Rock Band Beatles for XBox 360. It took my sons to set the damn thing up, since it is like nuclear physics, but the sound and video is unbelievable. I ended up watching more than playing, since apparently I'm techno challenged.

We got Beatles Rock Band. My two year old grabbed the third harmony mike and sang "Dora Dora Dora" the whole time but it was freaking adorable. Fantastic.

Every time I see this clip I think of Ashlee Simpson's screw-up on SNL when she lip-synced the wrong song. You can see John, Paul and George's instruments danging instrument cables but they're not plugged into anything. At least they got the song right.

just as I was signing on that thought occurred to me. that's probably their favorite...the really big boxes. I love babies...they are so clueless, yet, so curious and joyful.
