Time is Running Out, Get Your Tickets NOW!

palinbachmann1.jpgMake your reservations now, and hurry, there are only a few rooms left (oops, bad word choice for this event. Make that remaining.) The First National Tea Party Convention will be held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, February 4-6, 2010, and the keynote speaker will be--drum roll please--Sarah the Quitter. Also on the roster of speakers, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Two wingnuts for the price of one, what a bargain.

Speaking of price, from the Washington Independent:

"Tickets for the convention are available for the bargain price of $549. The fine people at the Opryland inform me that the ticket does not include the price of the hotel, where a three-night package starts at $436.99. You'd better book soon, because the Opryland reservations agent told me that just 160 of the hotel's 2,881 rooms remain available as of this morning."

And just in case Katie Couric tries to slip in and ask any more of those "badgering" questions:

"Press will be allowed in a designated section of the lobby of the convention only and will not be allowed inside the convention. There will be no media allowed for the banquet with Sarah Palin."

Yeah they do. The only problem is that they have to choose between that pesky rent check. Let's see, stay in the grand opery for a few days and live in the shelter the rest of the month? Watch it on fox and have a roof over my head? Decisions decisions......

But that means Bachman wins. You see, everyone's a loser in that one

I don't know about the rest of you. but, the VAST majority of Palin supporetrs I have encountered don't have $549.00. They don't have $54.90. And lastly, except the ones who actually LIVE IN Nashville, the rest most don't know where Tennessee is.

OTOH, I do hope they show highlights on AFV.

Sarah is hoping to win Miss Congeniality again.

Is there a swimsuit competition?

gawd these two could be the same person! take one's hair down, put one's up, add glasses, remove glasses! could be the caper of the century:) roflmao! should be at least as much "fun" as the last republican convention i watched on cspan.

Shamelessly stealing the comment posted by R J Yankavish at the Minnesota Independent:

"Not since Dolly Parton has The Opryland Hotel seen two bigger boobs."

Machine, THAT was funny!

Prediction: Fox News mistakenly displays video footage of the Hajj while doing voiceover about the huge attendance numbers at the convention.

That's a really nice hotel. It might be worth it to see the train wreck.

These two crazies are the keynote speakers? Who else is representing the GOP? Tea baggers, my a**. This sounds like it's going to be a rally full of a bunch of mindless, ignorant people who are ready to believe anything the stupid twit from Wasilla tells them. Gag. Sorry I will have to miss this rally, I just checked my schedule and I already have an appointment to scrub my toilet that day.

I think we should all encourage people to attend, join the party, even recruit candidates for president and vice president. It can only hurt the future of the GOP.

Let these ignorant fools hoot and holler about fascism and socialism and tyranny and Obama being born in Kenya and the Tenth Amendment all they want, while the rest of the country ignores them and re-elects Barack Obama.

Well now, I wonder IF the Opryland Hotel knows about this Tea Party. Their web site doesn't say anything about a Tea Party Convention

I can't imagine anybody paying money to listen to those two harpies.

Ye Gods! People are spending that kind of money to see these two nuts?
