President Obama has "No Blood Impulse for What America is About"

The Washington Times dug far deeper than their usual low standards yesterday in an opinion piece by Wesley Pruden, with maybe the most despicable piece of racist garbage I've read outside of Stormfront. It starts with a slam at President Obama over his bow to Emperor Hirohito of Japan:

"A little traveling, like a little learning, can be a dangerous thing. Barack Obama on the loose in a foreign land is enough to frighten protocol officers and embarrass the rest of us...No president before him so abused custom, traditions, protocol (and the country he represents)."

But here is Pruden's big finish:

"But Mr. Obama, unlike his predecessors, likely knows no better, and many of those around him, true children of the grungy '60s, are contemptuous of custom. Cutting America down to size is what attracts them to "hope" for "change." It's no fault of the president that he has no natural instinct or blood impulse for what the America of "the 57 states" is about. He was sired by a Kenyan father, born to a mother attracted to men of the Third World and reared by grandparents in Hawaii, a paradise far from the American mainstream."

I need a shower.

I still get the "yeeech" whenever I see that even though it was probably the smart thing to do.

OTOH...that locked door thing still gets a giggle out of me, everytime.

Once again I have to confess to confusion:

Is President Dubya kneeling before the Queen of England substantively different than bowing in respect to a fellow head of state?

Of course Wesley chose to ignore this litte fact that Nixon bowed to Mao. Why was it OK then, and not now

My question for Wes Pruden is a simple one:

what the fuck are you talking about?

When they met with Queen Elizabeth, they were called hillbillies after Michelle touched her, an apparent breach of protocole.

Now they are being bombarded for following protocole by bowing to a foreign dignitary in his country.

Obama is constantly criticized for traveling, yet he got blamed for not attending the recent celebration in Berlin.

I believe the above sums up the overall right wing policy and strategy: criticize and cry wolf no matter what.

Very classy...I may have to scare up a copy of the Washington Times just to let my wife's dogs poop on it...

This man is just gross and nasty. Do people really??? get paid to write this crapola?

OK. Let's start with telephone threats and a bag of burning dog poop on his doorstep.

Whacking SHOULD be the LAST resort.

I am basically a man of peace. But I'd be willing to contribute some money to have this guy whacked.

Of course, I'm just kidding..:-) Or am I????

He's just angry because Obama was able to open the door.

Shameful!

He thinks holding hands with the Saudi king in the rose garden is better.

Huh. Maybe next time President Obama should try swaggering, spitting, wearing a handgun, and acting half-lobotomized. Perhaps that would satisfy Mr. Pruden and his ilk.
