most of you know i'm a bottom feeder welfare queen who does not own a car. i live near westheimer & fondren and thought this kkk rally would be downtown for some reason. not sure the racetrack is on a metro line so sadly i might be out. my entire family are tea party supporters but the type that say rah rah from their lazyboy recliner, so my options are rather limited. if anyone is interested in a ride share please let me know. don't backseat drive and always contribute to the gas tank if that helps! if i miss out, i'll be with you in spirit!
Double Yuck.
I'd be afraid stupid is catching, you know...like the Swine Flu.
I will try to make the counter protest.
I just love all the eejits who complain about freedom of speech being taken away.
It is so damn sad that these people have no fucking idea what they're talking about. They're just repeating the lies they are told.
Such as the ones Sparkle passes along every day.
Not to mention the other trolls on the chron....
That's close to my house, but I'm not functioning well yet at 11:30. What do you plan to do... wear ugly, maid of honor dresses? ( not you, Des)
I'll be joining desperado. See ya'll there, I hope.
shortstuff i totally understand your cootie radar going off. however, after watching the youtube videos of this post i am more convinced than ever that a counter group, comprised of any amount of people is the only way to represent the silent majority. for me it all starts with healthcare, which clearly cannot be left to offical "dems" or any media except the daily show & colbert. that said, i am equally convinced that ONLY a peaceful, well organized counter is VITAL to the correct message being delivered. brad's video demonstrates how intellect overcomes ignorance if done without hate, lies or malice. since those are the three key concepts tea parties were founded upon, showing up with signs that are spell checked, factual AND clever will ensure that even if 3 people represent the counter, it will be successful.
Pictures you shall have.
I wish I could be there.
Pictures, guys, We want to see pictures.
Look at the bright side. If you're lucky, you might get to meet Sparkle.
Saturday Nov. 7, 11:30, Sam Houston Race Track.
EEEWWW, we have to associate with teagaggers?
I think we need to have our own anti-teabag rally.
A coffee stop or something.
Where and what time?
Ask and you shall receive. http://www.teapartyexpress.org/tour-shedule-2/houston-tx/
ROFLMAO des thanks, wasn't wearing my granny glasses and wouldn't it be funny if i showed up on the 17?
please post info about anything you hear on this. i've joined the facebook group and do so look forward to the 17th! wonder how many of houston's finest will be assigned to "guard" a houston event?
It's the 7th. I'm going.
Des,
I raised four teenagers.
I'm pretty sure I know what kind of "grass" that grass roots movement is functioning on.
That's the funniest darned thing I've seen lately.
so how many of you are available november 17th????? because i am totally THERE!!!!!
I've only seen adherents to that sort of grass-related movement that far gone once or twice, and given where I went to university, that's really saying something.
@SSTM
By their displayed level of rhetoric, we have to assume that "grass roots movement" has something to do with seeds, stems and a Led Zep IV album cover.
LOL, it was a slap in the face IMO.
Oh my gawd.
For some amusement, you might want to sign up for the teabaggers' emails. I signed up for their updates a few months ago. It's humorous how, in every email, they take great pains to emphasize that they are a GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT, one that started AT THE LEVEL OF THE ROOTS OF GRASS, and that it's such a low-level, citizen-driven movement that EVEN EARTHWORMS ARE BEGGING TO JOIN.
I guess it's no surprise that satire can be cruel. And sad.
It will be interesting to see exactly how Sparkle spins this. Seems it's harder to find a decent whack job when you want one.
At least what's left of them are in plain view and carefully documented for aspiring students of psychology, eh? Other than dermatology, that seems to be the field of opportunity!
10 people? Not a very “sparkling” turnout, was it?
The Tea Bagging Express had a total of 10 people show up at their "flash point" rally in Washington D.C. today.

If the stupid alarm doesn't go off when Palin and Bachmann talk, I'm pretty sure it's broken.
I'm pretty sure they don't have a "stupid meter" over at the GOP or the one they have doesn't work.
Jeeze, you just can't make this stuff up! Do you think that they walked away realizing how stupid they sounded? No, I guess not.

Pure brilliance.
