The Slightly Amended Tea Party Resolution

| 15 Comments
Rep. Tom Price, that good ol' boy from Jawjah, introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives recently expressing "gratitude and appreciation" to the Teabaggers who assembled in Washington on September 12, the text of which can be seen here. It was co-sponsored by the usual Republican bigots suspects like Bachmann, Broun, Gohmert, and Gingrey, among others. I made a few minor modifications and corrections and came up with something much more appropriate.

"Whereas, on September 12, 2009, American malcontents and sore losers, who still haven't accepted the election results of November 4, 2008 (and never will), whose numbers were vastly inflated by the likes of Fox News and Michelle Malkin, and who have a desire to take their country back(wards) came to Washington. D.C. to voice their displeasure with a litany of offenses by the federal government which didn't seem to bother them as long as a white Republican occupied the Oval Office;

Whereas, these said malcontents have a list of completely fabricated grievances like tax increases that haven't occurred, a loss of Constitutional rights (even though most of them can't spell Constitution, much less tell you what it says), and the ever-popular boogeyman of a government takeover of the health care system (insert scary organ music here);

Whereas, this alleged "grassroots" movement has the same amount of grass and the same depth of roots as did the playing surface at the Houston Astrodome;

Whereas, the major malfunction with this monochromatic mob is that, even though they don't have a racist bone in their body because, after all, some of their best friends are black (on a related note, the check is in the mail) they can't come to grips with the fact that the president is one of "them;" Now therefore be it

Resolved, that all future September 12ths be recognized as national Kwitcher Bitchin' and Get Over It Already Day."

Me too. I can't stand Olsen.

My rep's not on the list. Good!!

"Why aren't they recognizing the rally with 3 times more people fighting for EQUALITY FOR ALL PERSONS under the CONSTITUTION?" asks Wilma.

Well, for starters, that would require that they recognize and adapt to reality. They don't like reality.

Cause they think those people are sinners, y'know?
Yep. Bigoted A.W. morons.
(Hey, I didn't spell the term out this time....!!)

Why aren't they recognizing the rally with 3 times more people fighting for EQUALITY FOR ALL PERSONS under the CONSTITUTION? You know, the one where ALL persons are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, like being able to MARRY the person they LOVE?

Bigoted morons.

Dude, you have outdone yourself here.

Only thing, I hate to wait until next September to "honor" this day. In fact, I think we should have it twice a year.

I hereby move that we ammend the resolution to set two (2) "National Kwitcher Bitchin' and Get Over It Already Day(s)." September 12 and March 2. (March 2 used to be celebrated as "Texas INdependence Day". Not so anymore. so we can use it for this.)

I despise that fool.
And he "lives" out here. *GAG* is right.

Reads like the roll of Mouth Breathing, Knuckle Dragging Who's-Who's of the GOP

You know without looking that probably all of the Texas members of the house co-sponsored and signed this one. Its what they do.

I like yours better, Des.

Of course Pete Olsen signed this... gag! Let me write him now.

At least the "readers" have something to do this weekend, eh? Hah! 2000 pages that they will attempt to grok! Can't wait to hear the distortions they come up with this time...

No doubt TexasSparkle is rubbing one out while visualizing herself as a keynote speaker at one of these putsch.

Amen, Des. And I am surprised, stunned actually, that my representative (god help us) Rep. Ron Paul isn't listed as a co-sponsor. This sort of irrelevant silliness if right up his alley.

More entertainment from the whackos who "represent" us including our own John Culberson. You might check the resolution to see if your congress person signed this little bit of fiction. If you don't like your representative wasting time on this kind of nonsense, I think it would be a good idea to drop him or her and line tell them to get back to work and stop making fools out of themselves.
