"Birthers" Hit The Big Time

Bill Maher had a hilarious comment this weekend. "We'll show you Obama's birth certificate if you'll show us Sarah Palin's high school diploma."

Carol, I am so afraid that no one in the Republican Party is going to stand up and yell, "Stop being so stupid!"
They might annoy their "base".
The base which is indeed base.

It's nothing but blatant racism. A black man in the White House. How dare an uppity black man become President of the United States. Never mind the fact that he's more intelligent than any of the sobs. The racists are furious it, but refuse to admit their true feelings. They dance around it, calling him Hussein, Obamanation, The King, HRH, uppity, and every foul name they can think of. I am, personally, getting damned tired of all the racist comments made on various postings. I'm gd tired of Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, Coulter, some politicians, and every other racist commentator out there. They don't have the balls to come right out and say they're pissed off that a black man is president, so they go at it every other way they can. I'm going to start calling them on it every time I see it. No one in the Republican party is going to step forward because they don't have the balls to do it. They are afraid they might lose a few votes and lose office if they do. Gutless SOBs. This crap needs to stop now.

The other thing is that if a baby is born on foreign soil, but the parent is an American citizen, then the baby is too. So even if he HAD been born in Kenya, he would still be a citizen. His mother was born in Kansas, and she was the pregnant one. Geez!

John McCain was not born on American soil, but his parents were Americans, so he is too. I'm glad Democrats didn't look this stupid by making this a public issue.

I can't believe this stupid crap is still going on. Last night I heard a commentator say - quite boldly - that this simply draws attention to the fact that his father was a Kenyan citizen, that his mother was a white American, and they are playing on the folks that don't like interracial marriages or interracial "America". They like it lily white, I guess. I saw a complaint on a blog the other day by a white man saying "I'm going to be a minority in my own country" - and I thought - there are plenty of minorities in our country. Get used to it, buddy. All the outrage from Obama's comment that America has a large Muslim population was fostered by people who think of America as a white, christian nation. The millions of non-white Americans would beg to differ, I think.

I can't over all the BS about this -- the furor over the fact that "the doctor's signature is not on the birth certificate" and "it says 'vital record', not birth certificate."

Well, I have had three children in 3 states - New Jersey, Texas, and Maryland. Only one of them calls it a birth certificate and contains the doctor's signature. The other two call it a 'vital record' and a 'certificate of live birth' and contain no doctors' signatures.

Does that mean my children will never be able to run for president in this country?

What a load of crap! These people need to get over the fact that THEIR LOONIES got outscored in the election. We have a US-born President who is doing his damndest to fix the monumental cluster of chaos that the previous administrations left behind.

I'm so sick of this BS. We need to MOVE ON and focus on REAL ISSUES.
