As we all know, McCain and all of his surrogates taunted Obama about not being to Iraq in 2 years, not having any credibility internationally, of being too young, lightweight. Now that he has returned from what many will say was a smashing success, speaking to hundreds of thousands, meeting with heads of state, visiting the fronts of both the Iraq war and the real war on terror in Afghanisatan, McCain and his mouthpieces are continuing to carp about his trip. Jill Hazelbaker, McCain's spokesperson, even said on Fox Noise (of course), "Let's drop the pretense that this is a fact-finding trip and call it what it is: the first-of-its-kind campaign rally overseas." This, naturally, after McCain himself did a South American trip earlier this month, stopping in Columbia and Mexico and holding events in both places. Of course, the media virtually ignored McCain's fundraiser he held in London on the way back from his last trip to the Middle East.
You can't win with these guys. While Obama was speaking to 200,000 people in Berlin, McCain is giving a press conference in the cheese aisle of a supermarket in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, falsely asserting (again) that the surge helped the Andbar awakening start. We all know it was just the opposite, and how insurgent groups turning against Al Qaeda in Iraq actually helped US soldiers gain traction. He also complained about Obama's trip, again, calling in political.

Later, he held a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where the hall was only half full:
